Several missing from Saturday practice

Postby PonyPride » Sat Dec 18, 2010 4:01 pm

At least three Mustangs — left tackle Kelvin Beachum, Jr., kicker/punter Matt Szymanski and cornerback Bennie Thomas — were absent from Saturday's practice.

The reason: they were among the seniors receiving their degrees as part of the SMU graduation ceremony.

Hello parents of recruits.
Another great reason to have your child come to SMU.

I thought Kevin Beacum was a junior or so it states on the roster. Will he not be returning next year?

Beachum is a great young man, met him on several occasions. a true asset to have as an alumni representing our university.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally

Congrats to these young men!

Two Army players graduated & were commissioned on Friday -- DT Mike Gann and RT Jason Johnson. December graduation dates are relatively rare for USMA, and I think this is the first time we will have two Second Lieutenants playing for us.

(We definitely had one in the 1988 Sun Bowl and I think we had one in the 1984 Cherry Bowl)
