Right on Mrs. Punch. You do know that those of us (small smattering) who stand for a significant portion of the game, scream, yell and wave arms are often asked to sit down. I for one have been very tempted to give a hand salute back in return.

What would be great is to test something akin to what the farmers down south do. An entire game where the only time you are permitted to sit is when the game clock is stopped (modified Aggie). Thus, all would be up during all plays in the game, O or D or special teams. Gotta take small steps.

Well, now that I think it through, maybe we could at least get substantial participation in a test quarter? A whole offensive drive? 5 consecutive plays?

i tend to stand as well. people behind me don't always like it, but it is a football game, not the symphony.

I stood almost the whole Marshall game and I don't think anyone behind me would have said anything------------but then again I was in a different section than most of ya'll. I'm bringing my SMU energy pom-poms back w/me to the game.

Glad your reception in Orlando was better than ours. We drove to UCF, parked in a parking garage and as we're walking to the stairs, a truck passes us. . . stops. . . guy leans out the window and yells F*** YOU SMU just about as loud as he can.
