Congratulations to the Frogs. It was a great win in a great game. Can't wait to play them next year. I hope we win.

I don't, particularly, and I know I'm not alone. I hope we beat the froggies, and badly, this coming season.
Don't worry. Be Happy. Or not.

I was pulling for TCU yesterday. The more they accomplish, the more people at SMU will realize what is possible.

I agree our game with them next year will be interesting now that their Sr QB will be leaving as well as Kerley and other key seniors. By comparison, we won't lose much (assuming everyone's academics are in order)

By my count, they will only return 2 starters on offense, and 6 on defense from yesterday's game. I like our chances next season, but we have to play like we are capable of playing (which didn't happen the last 2 games).

While you are correct in the low numbers of starters returning, we are arguably uprading the talent level.

We return our RBs, Best Pure WR - Josh Boyce, #9 QB out of high school in the country, and just picked up the #96 recruit in the country overall.

Yes it will take a half season for them to get up to speed mentally, but Patterson does a great job of getting the kids up to their potential quickly and we have enough star power in returning players to carry the load while the rest get up to speed.

Every year people think the defense will fall off and all CGP does is reload. I admit even I thought we'd fall off this year after losing a 1st and 2nd round draft pick and both starting corners but Patterson reloads and puts out #1 defenses.

The Rose Bowl was a quality football game with both teams playing well, no turnovers, not many penalties. It was almost like a chess game and field position played a big role. The two timeouts that Wi. called in the second half to clarify a call were key mistakes. The last possession by TCU where they ran for a first down was an example of their effort and focus. TCU is clearly as good or better than any other college team in the country and extremely well coached. They are a shining example for SMU and I am proud of their whole outfit. Obviously the BCS is a fraud which is putting it mildly.
