The scrimmage won't be used to showcase anything, but to get our starters ready to play. It will be interesting to see if our first teams play against each other, or if it is first team against second team.
Also, remember in the R-B game, the defense stayed in a basic 4-3 defense, no nickel or dime, and no blitzing. I suspect that blitz packages and nickel/dime packages will be worked on wednesday; saturday will see the vanilla 4-3 scheme we saw in the R-B game. This, in my opinion, means we will see Eckert shine during the scrimmage, and that we will see the spread offense have a great deal of success. It will be hard for any of us to judge the progress of the offense and offensive line until the first game of the season.
