Morning News made it seem like the offense .... struggled. Wonder how long until the guys are comfortable with the new Burns offense?

Saw the scrimmage & agree the defense kept the offense in check. You're right Ikus- it will take some time for the offense to get used to the new scheme. But there were some good individual plays on offense: Munlin had a couple of powerful runs, Dorsey showed some moves, & the frosh Martin had some big gains. There was also nice catches by a couple of receivers.

How did the lines look?

With the number of guys playing DT, and with the youth on the OL, these areas are, as always, vital.

Did Bonds play offense or defense?

Where there any injuries worth noting?

The defense held there own, but there were some tough runs by Munlin & a couple of nice catches by WR. Even special team made a few long FG.

Best of all, I did not see any serious injuries...

Good point, SWC - I read in the paper where a walk-on popped a 52-yard FG! When's the last time we had one from that far out? That's a hell of a shot.

I did not catch the scrimage on Sat but i did catch the early sat practice. Was there about 30 minutes and out of all the passes I saw I think I only saw one completion and it was to our tight end for about 15 yards. Not counting the one the db cought. Did not get to see phillips take very many snaps. Hope he is ready! Sure would like to suprise a bunch of people!

Corso, you're right. We haven't had long FG since the 90's.
