I’m a little surprised it is that high as well. I’m sticking with my earlier prediction Tech –15.

I can't believe that UCLA is favored 3 over Oklahoma State. UCLA sucks...

Isn't Oklahoma State supposed to be good this year??

OSU has been stockpiling talent for years but they are replacing their All-American WR, their star QB and big time RB so they got some holes to fill.

As for the SMU line-what happens when the highest scoring offense in the country which averaged in the mid to upper 40s in the Big 12 plays the worst scoring offense which averaged 11 points per game in the WAC. ANSWER: 24 point line.

Which is why I think this line is actually quite generous and low. Don't get me wrong, I'm still looking for 4 wins this year, but they pretty much scored at will in the last game. When you add quality-of-competition to those ppg averages, you end up with a line looking more like last years actual result, +48. I'm hoping we can keep it close, a la 2002, but with a brand new offense people are still getting used to, I don't know how we can realistically expect to put up competitive #'s against a mid-level Big 12 team, this early in the season. I'm thinking if we played them later in the year, we might fare better. Anyway, prove me wrong Mustangs! With a defensive TD/big play here or there, anything can happen.

This reminds me of a great line from the movie "Broadcast News" delivered by Robert Prosky, the news director, to an on-air statement made by news anchor William Hurt:

"Who cares what you think."

Now was that necessary?

Thanks for the vote of confidence, WreckEm. I remember two years ago when the Ponies hung tough, and of course I listened to last year's debacle. I'm not saying we'll win, but I would think the margin will be somewhere in between. (Really going out on a limb with that one, huh?) No blowout this year, but I'm not sure I anticipate the upset we so desperately would like to see.

Remember, with our past record, No MORAL Victories. The players won't buy it, Phil won't buy it and neither should we.

Finally! Another Mustang fan realizes that victories only matter when you score more than the other team!
