Like many of you, I cannot wait 'til next Saturday. College football is absolutely the best way to spend a Saturday afternoon/night I can think of. Well, maybe the second best, but you get my drift.

I live in the D/FW area and follow SMU somewhat and root for you guys except when you're playing Tech. I know last year was painful and y'all snatched defeat from the jaws of victory several times. Here's hoping the 2004 campaign shows significant improvement and some badly needed (and, IMO, well-deserved) positive feedback for Coach Bennett. I think he's a good man, and sure hope he can get the train back on the tracks.

I understand the Mustangs are installing a new offense this year, presumably like the Cincinatti teams of the past few years. Can somebody elaborate on the scheme? I gather it features more spread formations and passing plays.

Also, how is Foy Munlin recuperating from his accident? I can't imagine he'll miss the game Saturday. I'm sure he's really looking forward to it.
