1969 Bob Hope owned SMU Helmet on Ebay

Hello All,

I just wanted to let people know there is a helmet on Ebay that came from Bob Hopes personal collection that was given to him back in 1969 when Hayden Fry was the SMU coach. Here is the item number if anyone is interested in owning a one of a kind item. Ebay item number is 220729065449

Nope 10/3/1969 on the back. I have a team signed football and program from 1965 signed by the SMU football team and given to Bob.

Everything's for sale for the right price. I wasn't planning on selling the 1965 football but like I said for the right price you never know. One of the other members on ponyfans said "65 football helmet ? " and that's when I said "no 69, something I do have is a 1965 team signed football. The only thing listed is the 69' helmet 220729065449. If you would like to see some pictures of the football I'd be more then happy to show them to you if you send me your email address? I'm a huge Iowa Hawkeye football fan and with the football being owned by the great Bob Hope and signed by Hayden Fry I really wanted it for my collection. A couple years ago I wrote Hayden and asked him about Bob and he wrote me just a little about him. I thought that was really neat and I displayed the note Hayden wrote me with the 2 SMU items.

also, the post about MM65 was making fun of another poster on this message board who's handle is Mr. Mustang 1965. he sells a bunch of stuff on ebay.

Ohhh my bad I thought he meant 1965. No the HF signed photo is not part of the sale it stays with the 65' football I have. With Hayden writing that back to me I thought was great and adds that history/value to the item. I photo copy would look good with the helmet BUT I know what your saying it's not the same. I love having stories behind everything if possible. Take Care
