Park across Hillcrest by the Shell station (close to Binkley, but I don't remember the exact street). Easy-in, easy-out through th' hood. I've had a Moody Garage pass the last 2 years, but this is quicker/closer. Probably a lot of on-campus parking since most students will be leaving after Thursday classes for the Labor Day retreat to The Hamptons or anyplace that doesn't involve SMU Football.

thanks for the tips, Berger-

I saw this on the smu website:
PARKING
1. On-campus parking is available for individuals with Blue, Red, and Orange parking passes. BLUE passes enter only at Bishop Blvd from Mockingbird Lane Red passes enter only at Airline Road from Mockingbird Lane, traveling westbound Orange passes enter only at SMU Boulevard, traveling westbound from Central Expressway.

Is this really the case or, if I get there early enough (say 9:00 am), will I be able to park in a visitor spot on campus within a few blocks of the Blvd?

no visitor parking as far as I know. If I remember correctly, they use all campus parking for gameday (with exceptions for Cox and the Law School weekend classes).
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally

9:00 a.m.? Good grief! Park anywhere you like. Students are long gone and the rent-a-cop parking lot nazis are just finishing breakfast at Lew Sterrett (LSU). Of course, there is the primo spot in front of R. Gerald's casa on University Dr.
