Played high school ball in Irving and was a Rivals four star recruit. Definitely someone we should at least make a call to. He would be a beast of an inside backer.

I would guess he's on the WTF team....as in, I was a 4-star, WTF am I doing riding the pine.

shouldn't have gone to UT then. 5*s start, 4 stars are backups, 3*s are coaches kids.

Pretty sure it is because he has been passed up on the depth charts by younger players and really has no hope of ever getting a decent amount of PT.

The UT coaches tell the players to "check your stars at the door" before the first workouts begin! Sam Bradford at OU was a three-star recruit and Heisman Trophy winner. Remember, Rivals and Scout assign stars based on potential.......which as Bum Phillips said "means you ain't done nothing yet!" I sometimes think that these recruiting services assign ratings based on early committments. In other words, the juniors who committ early to Texas next week will be rated as 4 and 5 star recruits come rating time. We will know their true value in 4 or 5 years. Example: TCU's senior class the last two years will rate much higher than UT's classes which were top 5 four or five years ago although I bet TCU's were all 2 and 3 stars!

yep-I note he was an early enrolle at UT-which is probably a good sign he has decent academics.

if he's worth a damn on the field, and is willing to sit out a year, which he'd have to do here, he probably will end up somewhere else.
