Spirit Shop has GREAT new merchandise

Postby Stampede » Tue Aug 31, 2004 11:33 am

Just a note to let you know the Spirit Shop has the latest in nice merchandise. Lots of Nike polos and caps, car flags, T-shirts and plenty of general merchandise for the game.

Do your shopping at The Spriit Shop..."where you purchases mean more to SMU athletics than anywhere else in the world" :!:

Is there an online store? If so, what is the link?

Look on the PonyFans.com home page right below the "Pick the Ponies" section.

I still want to see some 'retro' Mustang jerseys with Doak Walker's number on them! They'd sell out so fast, it wouldn't even be funny!

Hey Stampede:

I've thought of advertising on this site, too, just like you. (How come you don't have a banner ad at the top like Superior Wood Care and Glazer Law and Special Delivery?) Do you have an e-mail address for someone I can contact at the site to become a sponsor of this site that does so much for PonyFans? Thanks

PonyTales, when you first open up one of the message boards, there is the name of the board at the top, i.e., "Football" and directly under the name is a list of the moderators. Click on one of their names and you can e-mail them about becoming a sponser. I would suggest talking to "I AM".

If you're a subscriber to The Mustang Insider on the Internet, there's a notice that The Spirit Shop is having a 'tax-free day' on Friday, Sept. 3 from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. However, you have to bring a printed copy of the email to get the discount.

Aren't most folks in school or at work on Friday mornings?
I'd think there would be a much bigger response if the tax-free thing was held on GAME DAY (hint, hint) - you know, when people will be there.

Thanks for your interest PonyTales.

We also appreciate your sentiments. And you're right, in general it's considered bad form to get on a chat board like PonyFans and use it as a free means to pimp your business. If you're going to use it for advertising purposes, then you ought to pay for it like any other advertising medium.

That being said, the good folks at the Spirit Shop have helped us out in the past, and they often provide special perks for PonyFans members. So although we'd love to see them help sponsor the site, because of all the goodwill they provide, we give them special consideration.

Thanks for sticking up for us!

Best regards,
