They are sick and tired of Jim tressel, and after this fiasco they have lost faith in him. They want to get rid of him and get Urban Meyer.

Thoughts?

Recent interviews with Meyer strongly indicate that he will not return to coaching until his 2 Div I volleyball daughters are out of college. I would guess 3 years before he intertains any thought of coaching.

I am surprised they would be willing to throw out a coach with that kind of record even if it is for the pontiff.

Maybe the Ohio St. President will consider Gary Patterson, the King of his " little sisters of the poor" statement and Coach of the Rose Bowl Champions. :)

Well, no one ever accused all prominent fans/alums of being smart.

So let's see: he's 9-1 or something like that against Michigan. Won consecutive BCS games, won a national title, won about 7-8 Big Ten titles, and yes, every program has its share of under the table stuff.

This is where fans really go off the deep end. They need to be careful of what they wish for.

They are going through one of the best eras -- if not THE best era -- for Ohio State football.

Too bad they can't appreciate it.

That runor has been wandering around the Cincinnait area for a couple of weeks now. The osu folks I know don't think it will happen. They all said that the prez will have grow a pair before ever fires Tressel.

That might be what he indicated, but dangle a contract for, say, $8-10 million a year in his face, and he might realize he can watch DVDs of their games in the offseason between tee times.
