Dear Editor,
Let me just say that I am very proud to hear (as I was listening to the game on the radio) that our Mustangs put up such a fight against Texas Tech this weekend. I am one of the few women who listened to Sports Radio 1310 the Ticket as I ran errands with my fiancé this weekend, and every single show on Sunday and Monday spent at least one segment complaining about Tech’s attempt to run up the score. Not only was it great publicity for our Ponies, it was good to hear that people realize our losing streak is not Bennett’s fault. They recognize that our head coach is trying to pull us out of that terrible punishment of the ’80s, and that he’s doing a good job. Dale Hanson pleaded that if Tech’s quarterback can’t score against SMU in the last 30 seconds of their “29th practice,†how are they going to score against teams in the Big 12? Good job guys — it was great hearing you play so hard!
