CFN: TCU 35, SMU 10

From College Football News:

Why to watch: TCU is coming off a thrilling double-overtime 48-45 win over Northwestern and is looking to prove that the defense really isn't all that bad. SMU played well in a 27-13 loss to Texas Tech, but the top Mustang highlight was head coach Phil Bennett hollering at Red Raider head man Mike Leach for throwing the ball when the game was winding down. SMU needs a near-miracle to pull this off, but a second straight close loss would mean things are going in the right direction.
Why SMU might win: TCU, statistically after one game, has the nation's worst pass defense giving up 513 yards to Brett Basanez making him look like the second coming of Dan Marino. SMU might not have a high-powered passing attack, but it's possible it can move the ball through the air on the suddenly doubtable TCU defensive backs. If TCU can give up 637 yards to Northwestern, there's hope for SMU.
Why TCU might win: SMU's offense has to prove it can put points on the board. The Mustangs finished dead last in scoring last year averaging 11.17 points per game and started out this season putting up 13 on Texas Tech. It's going to take more than 13 points to beat TCU.
Who to watch: After Northwestern PK Brian Huffman missed five field goals against TCU, Horned Frog fans might be interested to note that SMU's Chris McMurtray was two for two against Texas Tech and hit his extra point. SMU QB Chris Phillips is the team's spark, but he has to start throwing the ball better only completing 12 of 28 passes for 108 yards with an interception against Texas Tech. He's a strong runner leading the Mustangs with 88 yards and will be the first option TCU keys on.
What will happen: TCU will get its defensive rankings back in the land of the living keeping the troubled SMU offense under wraps.
CFN Prediction: TCU 35 ... SMU 10 ... Line: TCU -23.5
Must See Rating: (5 lock yourself in a room to watch - 1 Father of the Pride) ... 2
