Re: Is Mustang BASEBALL on the horizon?Nothing gets me jacked up like watching some quality softball.
I have my fingers crossed. Usually, the team that scores the most points wins the game - John Madden

Re: Is Mustang BASEBALL on the horizon?I would hope so. Without other sports (you know, where athletes compete, scores are kept, etc.), cheerleaders wouldn't exist.
I'm not saying I don't appreciate what they do — they're welcome to come to my office and cheer me on, any time — but the sole reason they exist is to admire the accomplishments of others. They have skills most of us don't have, but it's not a sport.
Re: Is Mustang BASEBALL on the horizon?
yeah, but it would be an easy way for schools to balance title IX, and if gymnastics is an NCAA sport, where the teams are judged in a way similar to the way cheerleaders would be judged, there really isn't a good excuse (other than intrinsic bias) for cheerleading not to be a sport. Not a cheerleader, and don't really care whether cheerleading is a sport or not The donkey's name is Kiki.

Re: Is Mustang BASEBALL on the horizon?I thought Cheerleading is judged on how good looking the girls are. The prettier the girls the more talented the squad appears.
The problem isn't the NCAA (that might be the only time I ever utter those words) The problem is the federal courts. The federal courts ruled that it isn't a sport. Until the courts change their minds it remains an activity. The only way I see this changing is if they have a schedule and compete in formal competitions on a regular basis. This would take them away from the sidelines. Some rise by sin, and some by virtue fall
