A fellow SMU friend who is working on the National Mustang Club drive forwarded me this email over the weekend. Sounds like good news on all fundraising fronts. If you have not made your Mustang Club contribution yet, just call Tim below:
Greetings, National Mustang Club Leadership!
It is a beautiful day on the Hilltop and the great weather is paralleled by great news from SMU Athletics. As I forwarded you last week, our leadership gift from the Moody Foundation allows our $40 million Moody Coliseum renovation project to become a reality. In addition to the $20 million lead gift, SMU alum and former basketball student-athlete David Miller and his wife, Carolyn, announced an historic $10 million commitment to the project yesterday, putting us at 75 percent on our total funding. Check it out here:

Also, our football team continues to gain traction on a national level. ESPN’s national college football blog this week is linked here:

Finally, I wanted to thank you for your attention and commitment to the National Mustang Club initiative. We have seen a great jump over the last couple of weeks, as NMC efforts have generated over $123,000 in NEW dollars to the Mustang Club. Overall, our Mustang Club total is approaching the $2 million mark (34 percent ahead year to date).
We still have lots of work to do prior to our fiscal year ending on May 31st, but our goal of $2.25 million in total Mustang Club dollars is certainly within reach. Attached is an updated list (sorted alphabetical by state) with two spreadsheets – one is all new NMC donors and one is a list of donors who have increased their gift this year, resulting in additional new money. If there is someone on the list that you know has made a gift or said they would and you don’t see them credited, please let me know. This could include some current Dallas residents that may be new but aren’t counted.
If you need additional brochures or have updates/questions, please let me know. Thank you again and have a great weekend.
All my best –
Pony Up!
Tim
