SEC Presidents Overrule Coaches on 25 Man Scholarship Limit

Postby Stallion » Fri Jun 03, 2011 4:00 pm

Bravo! Cheers! Now the Coaches will have to invent a different color jersey to evade the rule-(Red, Grey and what was the most recently invented scam-the Blue Shirt-are taken). Bully for the Presidents though for trying and unanimously disagreeing with the unanimous Coaches

more details. Apparently they can only sign 25 between December 1-August 1 of any particular year. Hmm-got to be a loophole there-anyway they call it a Roster Management Rule.

Not really surprised. The SEC schools have worked hard to improve their academic rankings (Some of course were already well recognized but others have been bottom feeders academically). That indicates the presidents of these universities have worked hard and taken pride in improving the schools academics. It would be appropriate for those individuals to take a more academic approach to all aspects of their respective universities.

Attracting outstanding students is very good business now for universities and having a great football team alone doesn't seal the deal.
