JOSH LeRIBEUS: Body work

Postby PonyPride » Sun Jun 26, 2011 3:17 am

Some players dread offseason conditioning workouts, but this offseason, SMU guard Josh LeRibeus found himself enjoying them more than ever before. LeRibeus spent the 2010 season on the SMU scout team, but after the season was over, he went on an intense eating and workout program. LeRibeus visited with PonyFans.com to discuss how he changed his approach to nutrition and working out, and how he thinks his new physique could benefit him in his senior season ... and maybe beyond.

Enjoy!

It would have to be 7:00am to work for me.

Sounds like he has matured on and off the field in time for his senior season. He and Beachum are going to be nasty together this year.

Line to the left.
Line running left.
Toss to Line to the left.
Swing pass to line on the left.
KP fakes to Line and bootleg to the left.

There are going to be some worn out DEs and OLBs.

Absolutely right — I would expect a lot of the offense to go to the left.

Then again, if they go to the right, they go behind Kelly Turner (the strongest OL) and J.T. Brooks (the biggest OL) ... and here comes LeRibeus pulling from the other side? Line should have some room to put up big numbers again this year.

Keep after it, Josh. With a big senior year, you'll get yourself drafted.

It's been a while, and it won't be out of the realm of possibility that we have 2 offensive linemen drafted this year if Josh is as good as I think he'll be

Couldn't agree more. It's a very legitimate possibility that Beachum and LeRibeus get drafted.

I bet more than a few kids wouldn't have come back with the dedication Josh has. I'm looking forward to great things from him this year. Great story, PP!
