Re: DMN: Charitable projects keep SMU's June Jones on run...Nothing like the two geldings to spice up summer board chatter. Full size no balls vs. Small size fully equipped. The Geldings remind me of my Ford Explorer. 6 cylinders no punch, but its big enough to carry stuff around. Peruna reminds me of a Smart Car converted with a V-8 engine in it. Looks weird, but it will fly.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna
Re: DMN: Charitable projects keep SMU's June Jones on run...I think we should do as Permian (Mojo) or John Tyler (Cujo) and replace the SMU on the jerseys with MANA
Re: DMN: Charitable projects keep SMU's June Jones on run...JJ's going to do whatever he wants, to heck with everyone else. Mustang Mana is dumb. I'd be sort of okay with Mustang Mojo, but there will never be anything as good as Mustang Mania.

Re: DMN: Charitable projects keep SMU's June Jones on run...Why not a mystical Polynesian wizard in grass skirt named Mana. June Jones would have been a great Coach for the University of Hawaii.

Re: DMN: Charitable projects keep SMU's June Jones on run...Peruna’s Island. (Gilligan's Island)
Just sit right back and you’ll here a tale, a tale of a fateful trip. That started from an urban park On an SMU ship. Coach Jones was a mighty football man, Peruna, brave and sure. Five passengers set sail that day, For a three hour tour, a three hour tour. The weather started getting rough, The tiny ship was tossed. If not for the courage of the fearless crew, SMU’d be lost, SMU’d be lost. The geldings started too get nervous, Liberty and Justice. Peruna questioned their manhood, They could not whip it out; they could not whip it out. The ship set ground on the shore of this charted urban isle, With Orsini, June Jones, the third, The billionaire, and his wife. Peruna, and the geldings too, Here on Peruna’s island. So this is the tale of our castaways, They’ll be here for a long, long time. They’ll have to make the best of things, It’s an uphill climb. Orsini and June Jones, the third, will do their very best. To make recruits comfortable in the SMU nest. No phones, no cash. no motor cars, no recruiting luxury. Just like USC now, An admissions committee, An admissions committee. So join us each fall my friend on Bishop Boulevard, With the seven cast of characters, here on Peruna’s island. With Orsini, June Jones, the third, The billionaire, and his wife. Peruna, and the geldings too, Here on Peruna’s island.
Re: DMN: Charitable projects keep SMU's June Jones on run...Like the song, Phantom Phi!
If the geldings were, in truth, being used to call attention to the 'Save the Wild Horses Foundation,' why don't their blankets refer to the foundation, and why don't their riders' costumes reflect this as well? JJ is simply using Maddy as a way to get his horses. Excellence is not an act but a habit. Aristotle
Re: DMN: Charitable projects keep SMU's June Jones on run...
See the guise of "honoring our opponent" for the new uniforms in the bowl game. It's an effective way to get something to change. Use something everyone can get on board with (saving wild Mustangs, honoring a military academy opponent) and use it as a vehicle to get tangible changes. Whether you agree with it or not, it's an effective tool that June has used. Trying to be objective...
Re: DMN: Charitable projects keep SMU's June Jones on run...thanks for the advice.
