Free agency and Bryan McCann

Postby GeorgiaMustang » Tue Jul 26, 2011 6:13 pm

Does anyone know McCann's status with the Cowboys? I was just curious how the rapid fire free agency is affecting him.

I wonder if the new CBA has changed any of this. perhaps an "exclusive rights free agent" doesn't exist in the new CBA? I'm, of course, totally clueless, but just wondering. I'd feel better once Bryan has something in writing.

I was wndering the same thing. I'm sure his highlights and overall physical talents make him a player they'd like to keep, but this whole FUBAR NFL situation closely resembles drinking from a firehose now that they have such a limited timeframe.

NFL contracts aren't guaranteed for the year until rosters for the first week are set, so having it in writing would not make much of a difference. Only thing that is guaranteed is the signing bonus.
