If A&M moves, Big XII may face extinction if UT then goes indy. If the conference can convince UT to stay, there is a chance of survival with a core of OK and KS schools. Missouri will soon go SEC or Big Ten. Watch the Big Ten beat SEC with an membership offer to MO, as they considered last year.

If Big XII survives or reinvents itself, they may need to take from CUSA West and MWC East.

Obviously, Texas has made some sort of deal with OU, otherwise SEC would have taken OU over Mo. if Missouri is taken. I see Texas staying in the big 12, for now, as OU will stay with them. I mean UT already has everything they want with all the money they will make from the new LNW Network. If OU stays, they will keep their bcs big 12 conference status. Big 12 is talking to other D1 Texas schools now. Great opportunity for SMU, if donors will commit, to add seats to 45,000+ at Ford otherwise we would have to play them at Jerry's or the Cotton Bowl. Texas/OU won't play at a 32,000 seat stadium. Concerning Houston, can they really get the alumni money to rebuild their Stadium ??? Does Houston get along with Texas ? No. Texas has said they will not play UH in the future in the past few years.

Expanding Ford to 45+k to accommodate Big XII schools in Dallas is a no brainer and not that expensive, if you enclose the horse shoe as originally envisioned. Otherwise, we add an east side deck. BCS membership should raise attendance and, if we are in a regional BCS conference, i.e. Big XII, other schools will travel well to Dallas. Use Cotton Bowl for UT.
