ND is the most realistic out of that bunch, and that's not saying much.

The most realistic addition to the Big 12 out of the bunch mentioned would be either Air Force or BYU. Notre Dame seems like a stretch. Same for Pitt. SMU won't be on the list because it competes with UT in the DFW TV market. That doesn't mean SMU might not move conferences though.

SMU will stay in CUSA. The Big 12 will never happen. UT will stop the ponies and will likely decide who gets in.

between the comments from Beebe about not expanding within the footprint and now these from the Tech prez, its starting to look like we hosed. Turner and Orsini comments, while worth 15 much needed minutes of fame, are starting to look more like grovling. at least as far as Big 12. Maybe we take Pitts spot in the Big East if things get crazy.

I think they quickest thing we can hope for is a championship game with MWC and CUSA to be AQ - but the big boys are going to keep us out as long as they can.

Wishful thinking at Tech. ND isn't going to the Big 12, which means Pitt won't either. Not sure why Big 12 people keep wasting their time talking about Arkansas, who 20 years ago left a stronger conference than the soon-to-be Big 9 will be.

No team is going to leave a strong conference like the SEC, Big 10, Pac 12 or even ACC to go play in a conference that may not even exist in a couple of years. Pipe dreams...
