Worked pretty well for them last year
Re: CFN Fearless Prediction: TAMU 38 SMU 20A&Ms offense will be tough to handle. Their QB, RB, and their WR, as a group, are about the best in the country. They will score points and probably a lot of them, but SMU's D is going to be better this year than people think. We are big, strong, and fast up front and that is something I haven't said about SMU's DL in 25 years. Our depth is much better than in recent years also. We have got to stop the big play A&M is so good at.....However, I'm going to stick my head out and say I think our senior improved OL will give Padron time to throw. aTm's DL this year is not as good as TCU's DL last year and the aggies will miss former pass rusher and future NFL Star LB Von Miller this year. So the question is, how on will Padron be ??? If he is on, then the Aggies will have to really gamble to try to get to Padron and that is where Zack Line comes into the picture. I'm hoping for another big night from Zack Line. With Padron hitting several deep passes and Zack Line rushing for over a 100 yards, I honestly think we have a chance to WIN. No predictions, but I suggest YOU SHOW UP !
Re: CFN Fearless Prediction: TAMU 38 SMU 2038-13 SMU, I literally had a dream about it and that was the final score. I never remember my dreams so this prophecy must fulfill itself.
Re: CFN Fearless Prediction: TAMU 38 SMU 20SMU 41
A&M 33 Weird score...but an exciting, important game for the Mustang Nation
Re: CFN Fearless Prediction: TAMU 38 SMU 20OK. I know you've all been wondering why I've been silent so far on the score prediction. Well, here it is: SMU 35 A&M 31. It goes down to the wire. BANK IT!
Long live Inez Perez!
Re: CFN Fearless Prediction: TAMU 38 SMU 20i think we score the winning TD in the last few seconds and all you hear at kyle field is Peruna!
KICK 'EM MUSTANGS!!!
Re: CFN Fearless Prediction: TAMU 38 SMU 20I found this nice summary of US on the aggie forum. However, most posters are taking us lightly.
http://www.agtimes.com/boards/viewtopic.php?t=72699 "This was posted by Tony Hooten on Aggie Websider: "I know many people are taking SMU lightly and expect an A&M rout. You see a 7-7 SMU team made up of all 2- and 3-star recruits, only three years removed from consecutive 1-11 seasons. However, if you dig deeper you'll see that there are reasons why this is a game Texas A&M cannot afford to take lightly: Team SMU went 8-5 in 2009 in their second year under June Jones, the biggest turnaround that season in college football. SMU returns 18 starters from last year's 7-7 SMU team that could easily have won 10 games, with SMU outgaining their opponents in 5 of their 7 losses. An SMU team that has almost as many first and second team All-Texas selections (8) as Texas A&M (9), per Dave Campbell's Texas Football. An SMU team projected by Dave Campbell's Texas Football to go 9-3 this season. A hungry SMU team looking for a huge national TV upset against Texas A&M and/or TCU this year. Offense A Davey O'Brien Award Watch List quarterback (Kyle Padron) that passed for 3828 yards and 31 TDs as a sophomore. A 230-pound Maxwell Award and Doak Walker Award Watch List running back (Zach Line) that rushed for 1494 yards as a sophomore, averaging over 6 yards a carry. Two wide receivers on the Biletnikoff Award Watch List that totalled 165 receptions for 1905 yards last season. An all-senior offensive line that averages 309 pounds and has a combined 116 games of starting experience. The best offensive lineman in Texas per Dave Campbell's Texas Football, in Outland and Lombardi Trophy Watch List tackle Kelvin Beachum. A Rimington Award Watch List center (Blake McJunkin) Defense A defense that contains 3 first-team and 2 second-team All-Texas players, per Dave Campbell's Texas Football. 3 huge defensive ends projected to be NFL draft picks, including Nagurski Award and Lombardi Award Watch List Taylor Thompson. Two Lombardi Award Watch List linebackers (Ja'Gared Davis and Taylor Reed) that totalled 235 tackles last year as sophomores. The best defensive back in Texas (S Chris Banjo), per Dave Campbell's Texas Football.""
Re: CFN Fearless Prediction: TAMU 38 SMU 20great find. i still have a hard time being totally confident. sometimes it doesn't feel like this is real.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally
Re: CFN Fearless Prediction: TAMU 38 SMU 20Nobody has any wins yet so all the preseason rankings are meaningless!
I have a good feeling about this game and dare to predict a Pony Victory! SMU - IT'S YOUR TURN
FIRE JUNE JONES ![]() USC Trojan for Life and SMU Dad!
Re: CFN Fearless Prediction: TAMU 38 SMU 20So, is the crew refereeing the game going to be a Big 12 crew? You know, the conference that the sheep molesters are about to bolt from? Maybe Dodds and Bebee have the fix in...could be a lot of SMU fans that day in Irving...just saying...
