SMU
The Mustangs are coming off back-to-back bowl appearances and the 2010 C-USA West Division title. From that squad, SMU returns 52 lettermen, 10 offensive starters and eight defensive starters. Junior quarterback Kyle Padron, who set single-season school records with 3,828 passing yards and 31 touchdown passes last year, has plenty of weapons back to help power the Mustangs' prolific offense, including running back Zach Line (1,494 rushing yards) and receivers Cole Beasley (1,060 receiving yards) and Darius Johnson (845). The Mustangs have three tough conference road games (Southern Mississippi, Tulsa and Houston), but don't put anything past a June Jones-coached squad.
