SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

You can't argue with his success, for sure. He's still an @ss, but the frogs like him because he's their @ss. I will say that if we can get the Dallas locals to support our team like the folks around FW support TCU, we'll be in good shape.
