Last summer, Houston unveiled a $160 million plan to upgrade its football and basketball venues. About $120 million is earmarked for a new football stadium, and school spokeswoman Cassie Arner said Wednesday that about $60 million has been raised.
SMU will have $$ to expand Ford in 48 hours if we go BCS. Mark it down.

To back up our willingness to step and join a BCS conference, the commitment to expand Ford will have had to have been made by Turner and Orsini, who have a blank check in their pocket.

Cougar high is still struggling to get funds for their expansion. I doubt if they will raise the money in the next year so how could they possibly get into a BCS conference.

John and Becky Moores used to be major benefactors but their divorce has changed their ability to give huge dollars to cougar high. I can't imagine there are too many alums of cougar high that can give multi-millions- so I still feel they will struggle to hit those numbers. JMHO.

This is where having deep pockets pays off. We've got stadium expansion plans and money in our pocket for it -- as well as conference entry fees. As the website says, we are ready to go now.
