SMU presence for College GameDay 9/3 in Arlington?

With SMU admin making a AQ media push, it might be a good opportunity to show our support on GameDay airing this Saturday at JerryWorld. It would be great to see SMU gear, signs and flags.

Gotta strike when the iron is hot...

Thinking about this, the biggest difficulty, being Jerry-owned, will be the parking ($10-15). It would be great if we could get several carpools of students there, split the parking fee, all carrying signs or flags. I'll send an email to Brad Sutton and maybe he'll talk to Student Life or whatever and send out a student email and set up a Facebook event. If we get enough people there, we won't hear crickets when they ask, "any SMU fans here?" when talking Big12/A&M (terrible).

Yes! Get down there and have a sign promoting that site. Imagine the hits/likes on Facebook this thing could get by the end of the day. Big weekend to promote SMU!

Here's the response to the email I sent Brad Sutton. Very impressed with the sudden life and responsiveness all of the sudden at SMU!

We are working on getting cheerleaders there and Iâ€™m sure SMU2B12 will be representedâ€¦ Thanks!

That would be fantastic if they could pull that off. If you are a student, please consider going out and representing SMU on Saturday. Fans participating on the show may park for free in Lot H (next to the Siemens Building across from Courtyard Marriott) from 6 a.m. until noon. GameDay itself will take place in Lot 3 of Cowboy Stadium. I'll do what I can to get RBA out there also. Please please please come if you can. I went out to support SMU when GameDay came to Utah @ TCU last year and had a lot of fun. Great atmosphere, lots of nice, passionate people, fun to watch and be a part of a tv show.
