Hats off to the coaching staff, because...

They RAN the ball,
they put CHRIS FOSTER with the first team (2 TDs),
The Eckert/Romo tandem was a good 1-2 change of pace punch,
and most importantly...

The team looked like it was out there having fun.

That will pay returns.

Also, I am in no way predicting a victory against my secret other favorite usually underranked team in America, but...

Boise State is beatable...

IF...we can run, control the clock, and also STRIKE deep for TDs like BYU did (though we don't have the 6'3" burners).

I need to see some pass rush, some how, some way, it looks to me like we just push against other team's OLs with limited success

...maybe we need more zone blitzes, corner blitzes, something to get random pressure rather than straight up.

Of course, the reality is, SJSU is perhaps one of the worst teams out there...but, I'll take this win over JUCO-U.

BTW: Boise State's last 3 recruiting classes are all ranked BELOW SMU's...

If anyone paid attention, BYU set forth a blueprint for beating Boise State. Yes, the "Y" came up short, but the blue smurfs were not in their usual element Fri. night because of BYU's approach to the game.

So what's the blueprint? I missed the Boise/BYU game.

The coaches had a great game. That was the most creative, diverse offense we've played in eons.
