Re: MD v. KP or.....CP is supposed to be the real, though. I'll note that. But I don't think he'll see the field this season.

Re: MD v. KP or.....I believe you have to give McD another shot. I am concerned with his lack of accuracy last night. I do like how he wil go thru his reads and stay in the pocket, even though he did lock in on his target a few times including his interception. Last thing this team needs is alternating QB. As for CP, red shirt him. Don't let him see the field this year. If he is as good as advertised let him learn the playbook this year and see what happens next year.
Pony up! Beat NW State, wherever that is! GO MUSTANGS!
Re: MD v. KP or.....June is not infallible on QB decisions, that was proven with the BLM experiment which proved to be a big mistake. He can be questioned and the handling of KP right now if very questionable. McD might be calm, but i didn't see any leadership presence last night. If the team doesnt believe in the starter, the backup will usually give you a very visible spark at least for the short term. I sure didn't see it, which tells me that most of the team doesn't understand/support the move. Forget what they say, the body language was obvious last night. It worries me that June was making excuses for McD after the game by saying the lights were the problem. That suggests to me, just like with BLM, he is about to get very righteous and stubborn. Hope we haven't seen the last of Kyle but the next 2 weeks will tell all. We should have a shot to beat TCU this year with a good performance, but ain't gonna happen with a qb controversy.
Re: MD v. KP or.....I really don't think we have a good shot at TCU at this point even with no QB controversy. I could be wrong. The Memphis game should tell a lot. Arkansas State beat them by 44 so if it is a close game we are in trouble at TCU.

Re: MD v. KP or.....UCF would beat TCU this year.
Memphis is a W Southern Miss we can win Navy too. I see two more loses this year. JJ and company are going to light it up book it.
Re: Re: MD v. KP or.....
Houston and ucf ?
Re: MD v. KP or.....Thad I've never wanted you to be correct so much... hope you are right my friend.
Re: Re: Re: MD v. KP or.....
TCU/ UCF we play out of our bodies against Houston. Everything rolls are way Defense scores three times. A fan flicks a cigar from the stands catching Junes lei on fire he desperately trys to put it out MC'D misinterprets the signal and sends in KP he wins the game asks for his girlfriends hand in marriage and moves to Orlando.

Re: MD v. KP or.....
9-3, not even close. 7-5 at best. Probably 6-6.
Re: MD v. KP or.....I'm still not a believer in MD right now, especially after last night. Maybe the lights are a problem, maybe not, but in two games he has basically led two scoring drives per game and then stalled. Against the Aggies, he was a welcome change who calmed guys down and showed a spark. Against UTEP, he got off to another good start and then seemed to get stuck in neutral; not playing badly per se, but certainly not showing any real command of the offense or any more of an ability to get the right read every time than KP. MD was target fixated most of the night on Beas, and missed TW and Holman on more than one occasion for big plays.
On the other hand, I liked seeing Kyle right next to coach Jones all night, listening and learning. I also liked the encouragement he was giving every player coming off the field, both on offense and defense. That's what a team's leader does, and the players looked to KP for that last night, not MD. Kyle needs to be given another shot to see if he can get his groove back (coming in last night as basically a second RB doesn't count, even if he did get a TD - it was very clear he was not supposed to try and throw the ball but simply try to get away with the QB sneak). I don't think MD brings enough to the table to be a legit starter from here on out. I just don't see it. GO MUSTANGS!!!!
Re: Re: MD v. KP or.....
I think positive until beaten silly repeatedly.
Re: Re: MD v. KP or.....
Maybe positive, but not realistic. Good for you.
