Did he crack 100 yards in the first half?

It will be interesting to see if any RB in the country does that against A&M all year.

Zach had over 100 yds in the 1st half against A$M.

Stony Brook ran all over UTEP averaging over 5 yds per carry

would love to see Zach run for 200 yds in our home opener

Certainly not outside the realm of possibility. He had 128 yds against arguably the best defense we are going to face this year. We play several teams he should be able to absolutely shred, so I think ED's mark is definitely within reach this year.

I hope Zach does it. It would be a great story for the school.

I came here to write about Eric splitting time at tailback. To write about the fact that he could have run for 2,000+ multiple times if only he had gotten more carries.

But something made me go look up the stats before I shot my mouth off.

Eric already had more carries than any back in SMU history. Additional workload might not have been as productive as we think. Zach's yards per attempt is higher than Eric's (and also higher than Reggie Dupard, who gets often forgotten in this conversation).

No, I do not think that Zach Line is Eric Dickerson, not even close. I do realize that Eric played against tougher competition, each and every week. I'm not even sure that Zach is an NFL back.

But I do think that Zach (historically speaking) is a much better college running back than some of us (myself included) give him credit for.

in smu history he has 9 100 yards game so far so heis 9th on smu all time list and 13th on career yardage list right below doak walker
