If this is what we have to [deleted] about all week, I'll take it. Our defense allowed less points than LSU, and Vegas was wrong. We covered a massive spread. Going for it wasn't about ego or class. We need the red zone work... obviously. Smile tonight Pony fans. We can [deleted] and moan on monday.

Amen.
And I don't think that any coach who puts in 2nd/3rd string...and still moves the ball...is guilty of running up the score anyways.

I didn't like the call either, and just laughed after they ran that thing back for a TD. But that's pretty much all I would have to complain about, and I really don't want to complain about anything since we won, and we finally hit the 40 mark again. Enough said.

I wanted better offensive play calling to balance out the attack better. It took too many plays before Zach got to run the ball, for example.

I wanted the shut out too. I didn't like the play calling on the drive that ended up be a defensive TD for Northwestern State.

The computer ratings won't be as good for SMU at 40-7 than 43-0. But I could see something more like 63-0 if the offense had played better. (I have to check out the stats later, like drops etc.)

I like KP but I don't think he stated his case positively.

I love #92 MH!!

Like it or not, Kyle Padron is the perceived leader on this team. Just watch how the other players respond to him on the sidelines. It's obvious. Nothing against McDermott, but he cannot pull the team together like Kyle can, and we will go farther if KP can put it together.

It is Bus' fault we lost the shut out. He kept asking when was the last time SMU shut out an opponent. It jinxed us. The crowd kept warning him. Pretty funny.

Can't be too down with losing the shut out. Seems to me, we got what we needed out of the game.

Definitely Bus's fault.

However those saying we were trying to run up the score are very very wrong. We did not kick a FG, which would have been running up the score, and we did not pass which would have been running up the score. The sportsman thing to do is to run the ball and give them the chance to stop you. If you are at a time in the game that taking a knee runs out the clock you do so, but we were not. This was not running up the score but is was a terrible display of clock management and execution.

Would love for the defense to keep pitching 0's. If the offense scores 40 and gives up 7, that's ok too.

You kick a FG or go for it, either way people are going to accuse JJ of running up the score.
That is what you call, "The no win scenario."

What was he supposed to do? Take a knee on 4th down with over a minute left? He had backups in and ran a low percentage play. Give em a break.
