SMu's Red Uniforms are tied with the other 40-50 Teams wearing Red-I don't even think its particularly appealing red either. Give me Crimson, Scarlett etc worn by Arkansas, Alabama, OU any day and they look better because they don't have 12 stripes c luttering the look. Most every one agrees the Helmet is Classic. The Blue with Red Pony on White Helmet was one of the most distictive, classic uniforms in College Football. A litte Red compliments the Blue rather than Red simply blending in with more red. Generally a pretty good list above on Classic uniforms but I am not a big fan of the Navy, Notre Dame look which is really stale. An analysis of Uniforms today requires viewing how they look on HD TV which requires strong, vivid colors. SMU's are just ugh now-plain Jane Red. For example, the vivid colors of Michigan, USC and LSU look so much better in HD than they did before.
