http://www.myfoxdfw.com/dpp/news/092320 ... allas-HomeA Southern Methodist University defensive end's home was broken into sometime between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Thursday.
Kevin Grenier reported to Dallas police that when he returned to his home on Goodwin Avenue last night, the front door was unlocked. That's when he noticed the side window was also broken.
The burglars took his 2009 Hawai'i Bowl championship ring, Xbox 360, iPod and watch.

Total bummer.
But, it will be hard to sell without anyone noticing. Send a note to local pawn shops.

Sorry to hear about this. That really sucks.
Anyone who has had a home burglarized knows what a horrible feeling it is to feel unsafe in your own home.

I have had this happen to me and it is terrible. Happened the day I moved into my house when we were making a return trip to our apartment to get the last of our things. It is hard to feel safe For awhile after it happens.

Xbox 360: $300 iPod: $250
Hawaii Bowl Ring: Priceless
There are some things money CAN buy. For everything else there's...some good diligent Mustang faithful in Dallas who will keep their eyes peeled.
We've got your back, Kevin! Hope someone can return to you that which you have worked so hard for!
Larry Brown? We have Larry Brown? Cool!

yeah, throw in the fact that guns were stolen, and it gets really scary. fortunately we were in a rent house and were able to break the lease. didn't spend another night in that place.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally

Is it physically possible to replace the ring? Does the jeweler who made it keep the mold? It wouldn't be cheap, but could he get another one made?

Aren't almost all championship/bowl rings insured for life by the ring maker?

It is, yes - he'll have to pay for it (the university can't, obviously) but it's possible.
