why didn't baylor fight like crazy to get smu tcu and uofh into the big 12 since they are wildly concerned about traditional rivals.

Although I totally know you're laying on the sarcasm thick here, it'd be about 3-5 years before Baylor experienced a whole new level of doormat.

Refrain One: OH FOR THE LOVE OF CHRIST DON'T BREAK UP ALL THIS TRADITION AND RIVALRY!

Refrain TWO: OH, PLEASE ALMIGHTY BEVO, PLEASE DON'T ALLOW ANY MORE TEXAS PROGRAMS TO PUSH US FARTHER DOWN THE TOTEM POLE!

Think they're making any sacrifices down in Waco to appease the almighty conference gods?

I also thought the same thing...Texas is a BIG state and is very populous, and the Big 12 really can support a few other teams from the state and add a few from the east to give it the bigger footprint it desires.

i'm not an expert on this but ucon and tcu went to bcs bowls last year.
they may have the upper hand.

I find this whole process comical. The fact that we're determining the future of programs with dozens, if not over a hundred, years of tradition on what they've done in the last couple years.

The $$ grab is really a shame and is ruining college football. Not sure what the difference will be from the NFL if you're eliminating long standing regional rivalries and continue to lower academic standards for the sake of more TV money.

He actually makes the same argument that we do for being included in B12 (and TCU. UH) - regional rivalries. Anyone listening to that argument in Austin? Nope.

Pitino is a busy man, Family duties, Basketball coaching duties, affairs, I am surprise he has time to blog or tweet or whatever it is you call it..
