I am now a convert

Postby DiamondM75 » Sat Oct 16, 2004 10:08 pm

This game was absolutely ridiculous. This team is not showing any progress from weeek to week. Being blown out by top 25 teams is understandable, but 41 -10 from La. Tech. Give me a break.

I have tried to support Bennett and his coaching staff, but something is terribly wrong. Young teams should show real progress from week to week, that is coaching. This team is not showing progress but jcontinues to regress. That is coaching.

It appears that our FB team is doing what BB did last year. They have given up on the coaching staff. I think it is time we make the change.

I am now a convert from the support Bennet staff to it is time for a change. I think it is now time to replace Bennett. It is time to replace Copeland. Would someone in the administration check with Charlie Waters to see if he is still interested?
Just send 'da money.

I don't think the team has quit on the coaches. There wasn't a lack of effort out there - we just got beaten by a team which would have a much better record if it hadn't played Miami, Tennessee and Auburn. Not saying we did much right - we didn't. But I didn't see anyone quitting.

Practice hard in the off week and beat Fresno State!

As I have reported on this board previously, I had the priviledge of meeting and talking with Charlie at a dinner a few months ago. When we discussed the SMU opportunity he told me that it was the biggest disappointment of his professional career that he did not get the job. I can't help but think he would have done a better job. It would be difficult to do worse
