If we are the highest ranked nonAQ and ranked above an AQ conference rep.

Highly unlikely with Boise State at 4/5

Just count the spots BE Champ, ACC champ, SEC Champ, Big 12 champ, Big 10 Champ aqnd now add in all the runners up so long as they have no more than 3 losses or ND if they are 2 or 3 losses and you fill in the rest without going to a 1 loss non-aq.

If we go undfeated the rest of the way (and I'm worried about houston) win the conference championship and the liberty bowl we finish around 14th in the polls.

I'll put even money that if Boise has one loss they will be ranked above the big east champ and get a bid

That's all that matters.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves here. We still have tough games coming up against UCF, UH, Navy, Southern Miss., and arguably Tulsa. If the Ponies come out and lay an egg in any one of those games, this thread is moot.

You haven't had a 1 loss nonAQ finish higher than an AQ conference winner, except last year, but there was another nonAQ ranked higher.

Boise should have gotten the bid over yet another awful big10 team.
Oh and it happened to Boise when Utah went to sugar- bsu ranked 2 slots higher than Ohio state who went and lost bad. But there was Utah.

The problem I see with a one loss non AQ team getting in is this. 4 of the 5 AQ conferences are going to produce 2 top 14 schools by the time the season is over. the SEC will see LSU and AL get the bids or if for some reasone some one else wins the conference championship one will get left out and [deleted] like crazy. The pac 10 will likely have the Winner (I think OU will win it) and stanford get bids. The ACC will have Clemson and either GA Tech or VT be there at the end. The big 10 Will see an Undefeated Wisconsin team and I think a 1 lose or undefeated Michagan team in the Champ and a one loss wisconsin team still gets in and a 2 loss Michagan team still gets in. The big east winner WVU makes nine. And ND will get the bid sure as your life if they are top 14 (which they will be even if they dont deserve it) even after losing to Standoford. And finally a bowl organizer will take a bad BE runner up who again will be higher than a 1 loss boise if they only have two losses (I'm thinking Cincy)

I am glad we are not getting ahead of ourselves. Why stop there-lets talk about Nick Saban coming to SMU when Jones retires.

Haha, it doesn't quite work for Master's students since our scheduled hours add up to 9 (as opposed to 12, full time status). Therefore, only full time students get the free tickets.

Maybe but not likely. A lot has to go our way. A lot of the SEC teams are gonna have to have 3 losses and it helps if TCU and Ags win out. LSU and Bama make it while other SEC lose 3. OU and OSU make it. Oregon and Stanford. Wisonsin and maybe one more Big 10. Clemson and GA Tech. You just have to win em all if you are bot in bcs conference almost. Just keep striving to get better and fans "start attending" games, recruit and all of a sudden one year the program is there!
