I miss him. What if President Turner and Mr. Copeland didn't run off Coach Rossley? Would we have been better off during the Georgia State Trooper and Phil Bennett years?

It's amazing what he accomplished with not the greatest recruits in the world. Those turned out to be some good players. And SMU almost beat a lot of great teams during those years - Aggy, North Carolina, UCLA, Wisconsin, etc.

I wonder what that 1997 season would have been like had Tom Rossley still been the coach.

I guess TCU's chancellor back then put a greater emphasis on football. Then again, maybe he just got lucky with Coach Fran. If he got a coach like Phil Bennett, things might be the same as they were with Pat Sullivan.

Fran was a sham. He had Patterson as his DC everywhere he had success. What happened when they parted ways? Fran went to two bcs teams in 3 years. GP went to 3 BCS bowls.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally
