The Governor Mike Beebe of Arkansas was playing golf with Frank Broyles Friday. Beebe received a call from his office saying the governor of another state had called asking that Beebe help to get his state university into the SEC. Beebe said he was asked to help get the state school into the SEC and Beebe said he would not call the University of Arkansas president as requested but that he would be glad to talk to Broyles who was with him. Beebe stated that was better than talking to the president.

No word on who the state school was that requested the help.
