Assume things play out the way many of us here feel it will....SMU and Houston to the BE

If I were Rice, I would seriously consider my FB program's future

It has been on borrowed time for over 30 years now, one would have to think they might finally shut it down...or maybe they create an intramural Texas league with UTA, NTSU and UTSA

Let's make sure we actually get in the Big East first. Still a 50-50 at best proposition. Otherwise we and Rice are in the same boat,

actually, we were Rice just a few years ago. then the CofC and SMU got serious and committed to a football program. Rice should either do the same or stay in a depleted CUSA/MWC/Sunbelt type conference.

The school in my mind that is getting screwed here is Tulsa. Good program, great coaches, good bball too, but small student base, small(er) city, and not much political power.
