Many of you might have noticed that a thread was removed from the football messageboard. We got a flood of e-mails and private messages regarding the insults flying back and forth, and the hostility being exchanged between readers. This is not censorship, because thoughts and opinions are welcome. Everyone has a right to his or her own opinion, and they are welcome here, right or wrong. This is, however, a request that posters keep the discussion to the topics surrounding SMU football, basketball, recruiting or other sports. Personal shots that have no relevance to the athletic programs at SMU will be removed, and the posters will be subject to suspension or banning from the site. What has made PonyFans.com so successful over the years is the free exchange of thoughts, comments and ideas about the teams, the players and the athletic department in general. This is not meant in any way to deter that exchange of ideas. But when it veers off into personal attacks, it no longer will be tolerated. Please help keep PonyFans.com the site that it's been by limiting posts to those that are related to SMU athletics. Remember that athletic department personnel, student-athletes and their families, and recruits read this site, and that the purpose of this site is for the support of the SMU athletic department.
