Does Bennett see the forest through the trees....

Got to love a coach that flip flops all the time and eliminates any consistency at QB. But hey its not his fault, the admin is to blame for his lack of decision making ability. And because of the restrictions even Steve Spurrier himself couldn't get us out of DEAD last in D1 offensive rankings (two years in a row! maybe he can pull the trifecta next year). But again, its the admin's fault that we're the worst in this category.

UNIVERSITY PARK – SMU coach Phil Bennett said the quarterback job was open again.

Tony Eckert has completed 53.5 percent of his passes, and Jerad Romo is at 51 percent. Romo, the backup most of the season, leads the team in rushing yards with 290. Mobility is one reason Bennett said he was thinking about starting Romo.

Briefly ...

Free safety Alvin Nnabuife could be moved to outside linebacker. ... Ben Poynter (Arlington Lamar) is the starter at left tackle over Darrin Johnson. Center Brad Kieschnick is on the verge of getting benched in favor of Bryan Turner. ... SMU's offense ranks 117th nationally, last in Division I-A, at 12 points a game. The Mustangs ranked last in 2003.

when we stop recruiting everybody else's leftovers at QB then we might have a quality Division 1A QB.

Do we have a double standard?...Is this limited only to quarterbacks and players?
