Execations in 2005

With pretty much the whole team coming back next year and every position having players with experience, can SMU fans expect/demand 6 wins in the 2005 season?

4 to 5 wins in 2005

The NC scheudle and the new CUSA opponents will make it difficult to have a winning season in 2005. If we win 5 games it will be enough improvement to have hope for the future.

I say 4-7..5-6 IF we catch some breaks and remain healthy...SOMEBODY's got to make some PLAYS / STOPS next year!!

Unfortunately, we may not yet be to a point where we can expect to beat TCU, Baylor and certaily not A$M, so we could be looking at another 0-3 start. With TCU and Baylor at Ford, the key will be to winb one of those games. Our competition in CUSA should be about the same as the WAC. We should be more competitive next year just because our guys are maturing and we will have more upperclass players on the field. Clearly we will be better in the trenches, at QB and hopefully we will have our interior LBs back. I thinbk Dorsey was a pleasant surprise and I look for a stronger running game next year.

I think it's time to step up and start beating Rice again, at the very least. Let's see how things look in the spring and how healthy this team is come September before making any predicitons. I certainly hope we will be better, but this team could be much improved and still go 4-7 or even 3-8 again next year.
