Did it have anything to do with us beating them at the beginning of the season?

Hill sited a few reasons for his resignation....lack of FAN support, no one in the stands...lack of student support...and an overall frustration with the "situation" (ie: commitment from SJSU)....hhhmmmmm, sounds like I have heard this somewhere before....when you get right down to it, how different is our situation when compared to SJSU, or Tulane??

Neither San Jose nor Tulane has been on the death penalty followed by 15 years of sheer futility. Tulane was undefeated a few years ago with Sean King at QB (who somebody said just unseated McCown at Phoenix). But other than that, pretty similar.

..in terms of fan support, student support, administration support, jtstang...that was my spin. Wasn't Tulane hit with one of the biggest betting scandals in NCAA history? SJSU, didn't they consider dropping to D-II or completely out, just a few years ago? So, in that sense, VERY comparable....long live Alvin Maxson.

There's no denying that similarity.

Tulane's gambling scandal was a big deal, but they didn't get the DP. Apples and oranges.

I wonder if Hill was forced to resign. When they came to Dallas, they were the least organized, worst-prepared college team I'd seen in ages (and that includes our team last year that didn't get a win.) Does anyone out there think Hill can coach? I wonder if he quit because he was about to be fired.
