I am sure Klemm is loyal to JJ but only to a certain extent. Money and position talks. Let's hope the CofC can keep him and totally screw JJ's recruiting for the next year or so.

Doesn't anyone bother to think that if all goes well tomorrow we can also be in the search for a Top Coach.

Mora, Tressel, NFL guys, et. al

I don't see the C of C abandoning all hope just when they achieve the big prize of an AQ conference.

I'm calling it right now that the C of C and SMU just up the ante and sign a Top Name Recognizable Coach.

Also they will hire their own staffs so this uber Klemm love may be moot.

Let's say Aloha to the Big Kahuna and all of his petulant demands.

Just be Happy that the new coach will play BIG BOY FOOTBALL and not this JJ Gimmicky Game which nobody loves.

HBPD- since I'm a Buckeye fan I used to love Tressel but honestly not sure he would be a good coach for SMU. His style of coaching is quite different and I don't know if it would fit us.

Yes, there are other great reruiters out there. Couple of questions. First, are you willing to trash the next 2-3 years rebuilding the recruiting ranks. Also, who specifically do you have in mind that will come here and be successful as soon as he hits the ground? Do you not believe that the next hc will want to bring in some of this own staff?

Klemm doesn't neck have to be head coach, but make him OC to an offensive coach like morris and dykes. He will take the promotion

He will also hold together 2012 & 2013 recruiting...and we need those guys

He's a Bow Tie kind of guy, he should be able to adapt to SMU Red White and Blue... :lol:

UCLA board reported Tressel as a possibility. They likenthe idea and think he'd fit in well there.

I can't get behind Klemm as the HC, but I'd LOVE to see him stay on the next staff in whatever position is necessary. He looks to be the real deal in the future.

Man, slim pickins on coaching candidates this year. Nothing but one or two semi-interesting non-BCS up and comers and a bunch of retreads. Of all the retreads, I like Jim Leavitt for SMU.
