GAZING INTO THE CRYSTAL BALL…No matter what others say about Ramsey or Davey, McCown is by far the best of the class behind Carr and Harrington, if only for his athletic ability. Look for this kid to go on the first day of the draft, with the Carolina Panthers a possible home.

CAREER NOTES

Southern Methodist transfer who emerged from the shadows as a senior…Left the SMU program to prove that he was capable of leading a strong aerial attack…Threw for 4,022 yards and 24 touchdowns during his three-year career at SMU and surpassed that scoring total (32 touchdowns) in only one season with the Bearkats…For his entire career, he completed 599 of 1,093 passes (54.8%) for 7,503 yards and 56 touchdowns…His 3,481 yards at Sam Houston State rank eighth on the school's career-record list.

Good luck Josh. It wasn't completely his fault he had an offensive coordinator and head coach whose sole intentions were to save their own butts every time they went on the field. It was evident Josh was a great quarterback and people would have enjoyed him here had he gotten the chance to play in the current offense. But that wouldn't have occurred had he stayed anyway, I just thought I would throw it out there for my fellow fans.

look, I'll wish Josh luck but I remember when he and his brother were one, two for worst completion-interception ratio in the NCAA.

I didn't get to see his performance in the Senior Bowl (I am in Madrid) but from what I heard it sounds like he did quite well.

I wish him the best of luck, not only in the draft and with his contract, but also with his career. I just have to stop and wonder if there aren't any better quarterbacks out there to draft...
