Interesting look at Texas HS stats:

4,822 Chase Wasson Southlake Carroll 2002
4,700 Kelan Luker Stephenville 1998
4,678 x-Phillip Daugherty Bridgeport 2001
4,477 Patrick Hutka Rogers 1997
4,322 x-Chase Daniel Southlake Carroll 2004
4,284 Chris Sanders Flower Mound Marcus 1995
4,244 Spencer Stack Flower Mound Marcus 1997

Also, look who was quoted on this article about Chase Daniels...

"Some people are captains only because they're quarterbacks," said senior guard Mitch Enright. "That's not the way it is with Chase. Chase is a true captain. He is the leader of this team."

I see two and both were recruited by Cavan. I think back to some of the GOOD recruits that Cavan brought in that left or flunked out. Academic and Administrative Chicken poop.

I hope some day that SMU fields a good to great team with OK academics.

Take a look at Texas' graduation rate. WOW

As I get older I realize that things take time, and the more important it is, the longer it seems to take.

GO SMU

Saw the last second field goal by Southlake to win the 5A Div. II state championship. Maybe div II will meet div I next week for a real 5A state championship, but I'm not holding my breath.

Has Southlake Carroll copied the Plano model of the 80s, and 90s? Do they have the same system of several freshman, and sophomore almost high schools feeding into one huge junior and senior high school?
