Yeah- I often have a hard time when planning a few days vacation. NO vs Pittsburg, Albuquerque, Atlanta or Baltimore. Such a tough decision as to which would be best for a bowl

Albuquerque??? Goodness man...you've got to be kidding me? No offense, of course.

Our next bowl game will be the Angelo's BBQ-Kincade's Fort Worth Bowl in 2006.
We nip the froggies during the regular season, we both go 6-5 during the regular season, and the froggies want a rematch.

I beg to differ. In terms of character and personality, give me: 1. Baltimore (seriously) 2. San Francisco 3. Denver 4. Washington D.C. 5. New Orleans 6. Pittsburgh (yes, seriously. Place has had a great facelift over the last 10-15 years) 7. Albuquerque (OK, not a potential bowl site, but a really great city) 8. Boston 9. Atlanta 10. Philadelphia
Say it ain't so! Baltimore? I grew up on the East Coast. Boston = New Orleans, Baltimore = Detroit. No city in America has history like Boston. NYC & Philly did, but they've erased most of it because of "progress". Boston is clean, cultured, and oozes sophistication. San Fran has the same feel to it, but its a little too flaky for me.
All other cities (Cleveland, Denver, Atlanta, Memphis) are rather sterile.
Always a Connecticut Yankee, but happy in Texas since January 1986.

Baltimore???? I've been to the Charm City quite a number of times. Yes, they have the Block and great crabs and a couple of nice Italian restaurants, but they would not be first on my list or even in the top 10. Boston, New York (think Broadway and 42nd Street), San Francisco, DC, New Orleans, Miami (South Beach), San Antonio, Denver, Toronto (not in US, but a great place to visit), Honolulu (expensive, but excessive string bikinis make up for that). I agree that some of the rust belt cities have a lot of renewal and are improving. Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Cincinnati all have great beers, and are nice places to visit. Cities I would avoid, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Tampa, Birmingham, Houston, Ft. Worth, Charlotte, Detroit, and Louisville.

Jimmy,
Albuquerque??? Are you serious? What kinda "smack" is that? Albuquerque is a bigger version of Lubbock.
And how can you leave your hometown of LA off that list? There's plenty of character, personality and tradition surrounding the Rose Bowl.
