Kind of a nice problem to have, huh? I've spent a lot of time wondering how good our defense would have been with Carrington and Lee for the year, and with Rico not running out there on one leg.

Last year, in that Roundtable interview, the guys said D.D. Lee is the hardest hitter on the team. Think the injury to his arm has changed his tackling style at all?
Sure hope not. I want to see him light some folks up this year.

So what's the best guess as to starting linebackers come fall?

my gueess:

outside - cox/lee
middle - carrington

It sounds like the big thing with the linebackers will be the special packages. We will be able to tweak the line-up for down and distance as well as opponents style/strengths and weaknesses.

This is what we were hoping for with the DBs last season until a rash of injuries.

Hopefully there is enough depth to avoid patchwork solutions this season.
