Re: Straight From The Hart - June 28Everytime we play a team that folks have heard of, A$M-Baylor etc... we get humiliated on national tv and run out of the friggin stadium.
Re: Straight From The Hart - June 28Over the last 5 years, while SMU has improved - BU and TCU have significantly elevated their football programs.
I don't remember any head to head SMU vs BU or TCU for recruits over the last 2 years. We don't really recruit against each other anymore. SMU is competing against the UNT, Rice, LaTech of the world. As long as that's the case - we will get beaten and usually beaten badly. BU is really, really, good. Fortunately , we seem to land 2-3 key transfers that mask the lack of recruiting success. And to the coaches credit - they do develop our talent. I think we will do well in the American. Middle tier Texas recruits are better than most top tier kids from the Notheast. Pony 81

Spot on.

.25% is 1/400. 1/4 is .25 or 25%.
Re: Straight From The Hart - June 28Lawyers don't do decimals well. That's why he charges you $300.00 / hr. instead of
$30.00 / hr. ![]() May the forth be with us.

Many fail to realize there are 60 minutes in an hour, not 6 minutes.
Re: Straight From The Hart - June 28We capture 20% of our living DFW alumni...and nobody outside of SMU alumni cares about SMU...to me that's a pretty reasonable haul. I guarantee you that TCU doesn't have 32,000 alumni season ticket holders. Our failure is to appeal to the rest of Dallas like TCU has been embraced by Fort Worth.
We have alumni attendance problems, more would help our atmosphere but the lost sheep won't fill our stadium. Last edited by SMUer on Sat Jun 29, 2013 2:27 pm, edited 1 time in total.
Re: Straight From The Hart - June 28The real key will be expanding beyond alumni. I grew up in Boulder and my dad would get season tickets to the CU games even though none of us went there. It was just a fun thing to do every saturday.
