Really nice open field tackle on 3rd and 5 to stop them a yard short. Got himself and SMU a nice mention.
He's out there with the 1st team D because Pro Bowl safety Morgan Burnett just left with a hamstring. Not good for Packer fans but could be an opening for Banjo. He also looks like he's bulked up considerably.

Banjo with a really nice open field tackle on punt coverage. If he doesn't watch out he may make this team.

I think someone said it before, but JJ/Mason and staff seem to know how to prepare these kids.

Admittedly it was a preseason game, but he looked like he belonged out there.

Of course, injuries mean opportunities for others, and rookie safety Chris Banjo may have secured a roster spot and could earn more opportunity if injuries carry into the regular season. Banjo had four tackles on defense and another on special teams, improving his case to be the fourth safety behind Burnett, Jennings and McMillian.
“Physically I felt like I was able to do my job for the most part in terms of what came at me,†said the 23-year-old Banjo, and undrafted free agent from Southern Methodist University. “It’s all about being consistent and I want to continue to do that when I’m in those situations and make the plays that come at me.â€
After he was released by the Jaguars in late July and picked up by the Packers a few days later, Banjo is trying to decode the defensive playbook as quickly as possible.
“I just have to catch up to speed in terms of all the nuances of our defense and the terminology and everything,†he said. “Once I’m able to do that I honestly feel like I’ll be able to compete at a faster level. As of right now I’m still just taking it a day at a time, still trying to make this team.†http://www.espnwisconsin.com/common/page.php?feed=2&id=8991&is_corp=1One safety who could quietly be carving out a roster spot is Chris Banjo. Banjo led the team with five solo tackles Saturday night. Despite his lack of size, he's an aggressive, hard hitter and sure tackler who has the looks of a dynamo on special teams.
Safety Chris Banjo was impressive in kick coverage, his play on the special teams units are quietly earning him a legitimate chance at a roster spot. http://www.footballnation.com/content/packers-seahawks-preseason-analysis-scouts-eye-view/24369/3/

I have long said I thought he was too small to make it. Looks like he is close to proving me wrong. Good for him.
